In a meeting with a group of the Establishment officials and managers, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei offered congratulations on the occasion of the Eids and the lunar calendar month of Rajab (March 18- April 16), saying these auspicious days are outstanding opportunities for worship and supplication. He added, “The key to the problems is ‘prayers, remembrance of God and reformation of our hearts’ and the month of Rajab is an Eid for those who seek to reform their hearts.”      

Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the officials must stand firm on the goals of Islam and the Islamic Republic, saying, “‘Piety’ and ‘abstention from sins, treachery and mammonism’, which contribute to steadfastness and which are among the most crucial essentials for officials, hinge upon the enhancement of ties with God.” 

He recalled the revolutionary and servant-like spirit prevailing among the country’s managers in the 1980s, reiterating, “Do you remember those admirable sentiments and behavior? Do you remember that disregard for worldly riches and regard for offering service? The problem is that those values are sometimes forgotten.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said the way to prevent infection with gradual negligence and fall is self-control, adding, “All of us officials in the Islamic Republic need to mend our hearts, because the Islamic Republic has been created based on important goals and aspirations such as monotheism, divine law, justice, freedom and independence and is different from conventional governments in the world.” 

In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei underlined the need to refine business climate as the foundation of the country’s economy, adding, “Carrying out this mission is among the responsibilities of the Resistance Economy Command Center and this committee seeks to settle problems; however, the work must be pursued and followed upon energetically and with youthful motivation.”   

He also expressed pleasure that the request for the creation of domestic messaging apps and social networks has turned into a public demand, saying, “Officials must safeguard the security and privacy of the people and the country. The violation of the people’s domestic security and privacy is religiously forbidden and must not happen.” 

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added, “Those in charge in state-run and judicial apparatuses should ensure that the privacy of people and their secrets remain protected.”  

 Prior to the remarks of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, First Vice President Es'haq Jahangiri, representing the officials, described the choice of “Support for Iranian Products” as the slogan for the new Iranian calendar year1397 (March 21, 2018 - March 20, 2019) as wise and accurate, saying, “If we put this slogan into practice, employment, welfare and income of the people will increase.”
