Broadcasting Religious Speeches and Recitation of Elegies outside

question| Is it permissible to broadcast the speeches, recitations of elegies, etc., that take place inside such venues as mosques and ḥusaynīyyahs on loudspeakers outside the venues so that they can be heard in the vicinity?

answer| Although holding religious ceremonies for the purpose of “venerating the hallmarks of faith” (taʻẓīm shaʻāʼir allāh) on holy occasions in mosques and ḥusaynīyyahs is among the most meritorious and spiritually rewarding deeds, yet it is incumbent that the directors of such ceremonies refrain from any action that may distress and disturb the neighboring residents, even if this means turning off the exterior loudspeakers.
