The Office of the Supreme Leader

The Leader at the students' mourning ceremony on  Arba'een of Imam al-Husayn (a):

The everlasting Qur'anic instruction exhorts us to the truth, and patience

In the Arba'een of the master and the Leader of martyrs, Imam Khomeini's Hussainiya hosted student unions, and the mourners chanted " Labbaik Ya Hussain" in unison with the pilgrims of Karbala in the presence of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

At the end of the mourning ceremony, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the pure and believing hearts of the youth are the cause of quality being added to prayers and sermons and divine guidance being increased and said: The Arba'een ceremony, which is a sign of how high the flag of Hazrat Sayyid al-Shuhada' is, was held this year with more splendour and grandeur than any other period in history.

The Leader of the revolution called the miraculous event of the Arbaeen procession a sign of Allah's will to raise the flag of Islam of Ahl al-Bayt higher and added: This movement cannot be realized by any human policy and planning, and it is Allah's hand that informs us with this great manifestation, the path ahead of us is straightforward and passable.

He advised the youth to appreciate their youngness and pay special attention to the Husayn delegations and said: the delegations should keep alive the memory of the Ahl al-Bayt and be the centre and base of explaining the facts.

Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the unceasing efforts of ill-wishers and thieves of truth against important events such as the passionate Arba'een procession, ordered everyone to be dutiful and noted: The two vital and eternal sentences of the Qur'an, i.e. exhortation to truth and exhortation to patience, are a fundamental instruction for us forever and especially today.

He considered patience as the meaning of stability, standing, not getting tired and not seeing oneself at a dead end; and addressing the dear young people of the delegation and the Quran, he said: Follow the right path yourself and try to guide others to this path by enlightening various environments, including the university, with the colour of God.

Also, in this ceremony, Hujjat al-Islam 'Ali, in a speech, considered the need for the emergence of the saviour of humanity to create general readiness and talent in the Islamic Ummah and said: The Arba'een pilgrimage, which today has become a symbol of the convergence of believers and a massive gathering of righteous people, is a unique platform for the collective education of the Islamic society and the consolidation of the bonds of believers and preparation for the advent.

Mr Mohammad Kavian recited the Arba'een pilgrimage in this ceremony, and Mr Maisam Motiee recited Maqtal and requiem.
