Following the terrorist incident yesterday in the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Aḥmad b. Mūsā b. Jaʿfar, peace be upon them, which led to the martyrdom and injury of dozens of innocent men, women and children, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, sent a message of condolence to the families of the people of Shiraz and the Iranians emphasizing: The security agencies and the judiciary, as well as the activists in the field of thought and [Islamic] missionaries, as well as dear people, must be united against the trend that allows disregard and disrespect for people's lives, their security, and their sanctities.
The text of the message of the Islamic Revolution Supreme Leader is as follows:
The heinous crime in the holy shrine of Hazrat Aḥmad b. Mūsā b. Jaʿfar, peace be upon them, which led to the martyrdom and injury of dozens of innocent men, women and children, made hearts saddened and mournful. The perpetrator or perpetrators of this sad crime will undoubtedly be punished. Still, the pain of the loved ones and the desecration of the shrine of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, will not be compensated except by searching for the root cause of these disasters and taking decisive and wise action about it. We all have duties to deal with the hand of the incendiary enemy and his traitorous or ignorant and oblivious agents; this includes the security agencies and the judiciary, the activists in the field of thought and [Islamic] missionaries and the dear people. They must all unite against the flow that allows disregard and disrespect for people's lives, security and sanctities.
God willing, the dear nation and the responsible institutions will surely overcome the evil plot of the enemies.
I offer my condolences to the bereaved families of this incident, the people of Shiraz, and the entire nation of Iran, and I pray to Allah Almighty for the healing of the injured.
